Working on the development of our digital solutions

The D-Eva team is happy to share that we’re making progress with the development of the digital solutions! In the first intellectual output, the team developed the D-EvaBank: a repository of activities and resources for the assessment of students’ practical skills with digital tools (available in English, Spanish, Catalan and Romanian). The team proposed 14 activities to assess some of the practical skills that teacher education students in higher education shall develop, along with some proposals of potential digital transformation.

Now, in the second intellectual output, it’s our turn to take a step forward and create the digital solutions to some of those activities. The activities are being designed through gamification, simulation, augmented reality and/or virtual reality, with the aim to provide teacher students with a digital scenario where they can develop and assess some of the practical skills that their studies and profession require.

As you can see in the pictures, the teams at each institution are working collaboratively to design the digital solutions. For instance, a team from UAB is developing a simulation to recreate a scenario of classroom management when a bullying problem arises. On the other hand, the group of trainees from DSS is using teachable machine to detect the teacher’s body language and give them feedback to improve their non-verbal communication in class.

The digital solutions will be available as open educational resources in the upcoming months. Don’t miss out on our updates and resources! Follow us on Twitter and be the first to try the digital solutions.
